Through his many travels around the globe Ernie has been exposed to and appreciated some of the world’s greatest wines and in 1999 decided to pursue his developed passion for fine wine with the creation of Ernie Els Wines. Louis Strydom - Winemaker & Managing Director
Louis has walked the long road with Ernie since the brands inception during 1999 and has been father to each and every wine produced. A decade has passed and he has continued to distinguish himself as an exceptionally gifted winemaker, and now also heads up our operation as Managing Director.

His understanding of the terroir, and performance levels of these vineyards have been a key ingredient to the success of his wines.
